Ferro Aluminium

Ferro Aluminium (FeAl) is an alloy of Iron and Aluminium in which Aluminium content varies from 30% to 70% depending on the grade. FeAl is used widely in the steel industry as a deoxidizer and for Aluminium alloying. FeAl overcomes the twin problems of lower density and lower melting point when pure Aluminium is used for the above purposes. These drawbacks combined with the tendency of Aluminium to get oxidized easily results in excessive loss and consequently inconsistent and lower yield during addition of pure Aluminium.

Additionally, commercially available secondary Aluminium has tramp elements that are detrimental to Steel quality. Use of FeAl solves these problems since FeAl has a much higher density and melting point than pure Aluminium. Use of the product results in higher and consistent yield of Aluminium in the melt and / or better deoxidation efficiency. FeAl is manufactured using high grade Aluminium scrap thus ensuring that no tramp elements are present in the final product.

Advantages of using our Ferro Aluminium are:
